The William Wilberforce, Pocklington

The proposed Care Home and Extra Care Flats are two storey structures set in landscaped gardens. The new buildings have been well set well back from Hodsow Lane within the plot, in order to maintain the integrity of the existing Wilberforce Lodge.

The Care Home will provide 48 en-suite bedrooms over two floors and allows for 18 parking spaces, 8 of which are spaces for disabled users. There will be 6 Extra Care Flats, each with 2 bedrooms.

The location and shape of the development within the site has been determined by several design factors, including the existing trees on site, the requirements of the end users, and the local context and vernacular. The gardens of the proposal will be well landscaped, and a variety of garden experiences have been provided to allow a diverse range of experiences and environments.
